Wild Images, a daughter company of <strong>Birdquest<\/strong>, came with leader Mike Watson and 6 <strong>avid bird photographers<\/strong> from different parts of the UK.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.birdinginspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/littleowls2.jpg\" alt=\"Little Owls, Athene noctua.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They followed the basic outline of our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.birdinginspain.com\/birding-phototrip\/the-great-trip.html\" title=\"The Great Photo Trip: Lammergeiers and Little Bustards\"><strong>Great Photo Trip<\/strong> <\/a>(see details here) with 3 days on the plains of Lleida and 2 in the Lammergeier hide in the Pre-Pyrenees.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from <strong>Lammergeiers<\/strong> and the other 3 species of vulture they also managed to get excellent shots of a wide variety of birds on the steppes, in magnificent spring scenery.\u00a0<strong>Jumping Little Bustards<\/strong>, <strong>Bee-eaters<\/strong>, <strong>Stone Curlews<\/strong>, <strong>Montagu&#8217;s Harriers<\/strong>, Iberian Grey Shrike, Corn Bunting and even a last minute <strong>Hoopoe<\/strong>! Still, in my opinion it was the <strong>Little Owls<\/strong> that really stole the show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.birdinginspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/bee-eaterwildimages.jpg\" alt=\"Bee-eaters, Merops apiaster.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Did they leave with smiles on their faces and giving us the thumbs up?
