{"id":353,"date":"2009-06-20T14:26:01","date_gmt":"2009-06-20T12:26:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.birdinginspain.com\/blog\/photos-and-places\/photographing-the-wild-wonders-of-northeast-spain\/"},"modified":"2009-06-20T14:29:29","modified_gmt":"2009-06-20T12:29:29","slug":"photographing-the-wild-wonders-of-northeast-spain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.birdinginspain.com\/blog\/photos-and-places\/photographing-the-wild-wonders-of-northeast-spain\/","title":{"rendered":"Photographing the wild wonders of northeast Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Darek Giej<\/strong> linked up with us at <strong>BirdingInSpain.com<\/strong> and Jerome, an accomplished and applied bird\u00a0photographer from France, for a <strong>three-day bird photography trip<\/strong> based to the north of <strong>Lleida<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Both visiting bird photographers\u00a0shared the common targets of <strong>Little Bustard<\/strong>, <strong>Bee-eater<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Little Owl<\/strong> and <strong>Griffon Vulture<\/strong>. So we organised everything for them, and just hoped that the birds would co-operate on the day. Although we can&#8217;t control the whims and fancies of our feathered friends, it certainly helps if\u00a0all the aspects are well planned and organised.<\/p>\n<p>We needn&#8217;t have worried, as\u00a0both Darek and Jerome left for\u00a0home after\u00a0photographing the species they had come for. And more: in\u00a0just three days they\u00a0managed <strong>close to a\u00a0dozen species<\/strong>, including <strong>Woodchat Shrike<\/strong>, <strong>Southern Grey Shrike<\/strong> and <strong>Roller<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>And the best thing of all: they&#8217;re both really keen on coming back!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what Darek wrote:<\/p>\n<p><em>Indeed, it was a great time!\u00a0 Lots of great photos and species I had never seen before. I do hope I will visit Catalunya again. I am open to any new ideas, I am sure you have lots of them, if you are ready to go on with anything new just let me know, I will be there. Many thanks to Jordi, he did a great job! I attached some of my photos to prove I did not waste the time. I am very proud of a couple of the rollers&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jerome:<\/p>\n<p><em>I had a very good time and all was very nice in Catalunya!
